The series focuses on a group of young friends living in a fictional village and the strange events that occur there in 1983.

After moving to the rural village of Hinamizawa, Keiichi Maebara quickly befriends the local girls and settles into his new life.

But as he learns more about the village’s history and traditions, he becomes drawn into a series of unsettling mysteries hidden beneath Hinamizawa’s peaceful surface.
